Aristotle and Dante Booktalk

While the characters are rugged and far from perfect, Benjamin Alire Sáenz’s story is very beautifully crafted to express the troubles, not only of teenage boys coming to terms with their sexuality, but those coming to terms with their lives in general. The themes in this book are heavy, but are presented in such a manner that the reader feels very at ease with the content and are so entranced by the storytelling, it’s very easy to get carried off into the cruel world surrounding the characters within the novel.
